Database And System Analysis

Data analysis is concerned with the NATURE and USE of data. It involves the identification of the data elements which are needed to support the data processing system of the organization, the placing of these elements into logical groups and the definition of the relationships between the resulting groups

What Do We Do?

Database and system analysis is a process of identifying the requirements, design, implementation, and maintenance of a database and its related applications.

Features

  • Define the scope and objectives of the project, such as the data sources, users, functions, and performance criteria.
  • Conduct a feasibility study to evaluate the technical, economic, and operational feasibility of the project.
  • Perform a data analysis to identify the data entities, attributes, relationships, and constraints of the database.
  • Design a logical data model that represents the structure and semantics of the data using a notation such as entity-relationship diagram or unified modeling language.
  • Design a physical data model that specifies the storage and access methods of the data using a database management system such as SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Implement the database and its related applications using programming languages such as Java or Python and tools such as Visual Studio or Eclipse.
  • Test the database and its related applications to ensure that they meet the functional and non-functional requirements and adhere to the quality standards.
  • Deploy the database and its related applications to the production environment and provide user training and documentation.
  • Maintain the database and its related applications by performing regular backups, updates, security checks, and performance tuning.
